The Vortex from Northern Diver is the new membrane suit in the range. Membrane suits offer excellent freedom of movement but have been traditionally uncomfortable, cold at depth and easily damaged. The Votrex is a departure form the norm. It gives excellent flexibilty, with a tailored fit and undersuit options that greatly help in keeping you warm during a dive.
Made from high tenacity nylon coated Trilaminate Butyl material, the shell is sewn and tailored to reduce the bulk that is normally associated with membrane suits. Traditional weak areas are doubly reinforced and the suit fits snugly by the inclusion of an elasticated back panel and elastic braces/suspenders. In addition to this, every internal seam is double taped for maximum durability.
Features specific to this membrane style Include :
The Northern Diver push button air inflator system/hose and a variable air exhaust valve
are fitted as standard. The suit is available in a range of standard sizes, or made to
measure in and is finished in a lively lime green and black.
All three Northern Diver undersuits are recommmeded for use with the Reefmaster. In
extreme conditions the SPX Thinsulate, for European waters the SPX Pro, and for warmer
climates the SPX.
